The Ayirtau district and Petropavl city in North Kazakhstan have hosted a series of international events focused on tourism, culture, education, and youth policy, Azernews reports.

These events, organised with the support of the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation, brought together key figures from various sectors to celebrate and promote Kazakhstan's rich cultural heritage.

The program featured notable activities such as the 3rd International Artists Symposium, the grand opening of the "Magjan Centre," and the presentation of the book "Our Magjan", alongside a conference on the ancient Botai culture.

These initiatives highlighted the region's cultural potential and fostered collaboration across countries and disciplines.

As part of the program, Kazakhstan's Deputy Prime Minister Ermek Koşerbayev, Minister of Science and Higher Education Sayasat Nurbek, Deputy Minister of Tourism and Sports Erjan Erkinbayev, and Deputy Minister of Culture and Information Yevgeni Kochetov visited the region.

They explored the exhibitions and met with scientists from three countries, young archaeologists and artists from 12 countries. Discussions were also held on the development of tourism, the preservation of cultural heritage, and prospects for international cooperation.

The delegation of the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation held meetings with partner organisations throughout the events, supporting the promotion of Botai's cultural heritage in international scientific and creative platforms and strengthening coordination among representatives from Turkic-speaking states.

The presentation of the book "Our Magjan", published in seven languages by the Foundation, was held at a high level and became an important cultural event.

The publication was created for readers interested in Kazakhstan's past, present, and future, and who have a deep respect for their homeland and the Turkic world.

The book covers the life, contributions, and rich creative legacy of the great Kazakh poet Magjan Jumaev. This work presents Magjan not only as a literary figure but also as a symbol of the shared culture of the Turkic peoples, introducing readers to his ideals of national identity and freedom.

The spirit of Botai culture and the legacy of Magjan Jumaev will continue to inspire future generations, helping to unite the past, present, and future of the Turkic world within a single cultural space.

The Botai culture holds particular significance, not only for Kazakhstan but for the entire Turkic world, in terms of studying ancient horsemanship traditions and unique material-cultural examples from the Eneolithic period.

The weekly program organized within the framework of the partnership between the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation and the Governor of North Kazakhstan province is aimed at showcasing the region's cultural-tourism potential, advancing scientific exchange, and strengthening creative cooperation.

The Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation was established following the decision made at the Astana Summit on September 11, 2015. The Foundation's Secretariat is based in Baku, Azerbaijan, and its current President is Aktoty Raimkulova.

The Foundation's primary goals are to preserve, research, and promote Turkic culture and heritage through funding, support, and various projects.

To achieve these objectives, the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation plans to allocate funds for the preservation, protection, restoration, and promotion of Turkic culture and heritage. It also aims to provide assistance with scientific and technical challenges related to safeguarding and enhancing Turkic culture.

The Foundation supports the education of specialists in the fields of cultural protection, restoration, and promotion, and organizes seminars, workshops, conferences, congresses, field studies, and exhibitions.

Additionally, it assists in the creation of electronic and print scientific journals and publications, sponsors contests, festivals, and tournaments, and aids in the revival and development of traditional crafts and applied arts in Turkic-speaking regions. Furthermore, the Foundation helps craftsmen, artists, and other creative professionals protect their intellectual property rights.

The Foundation officially began operations after Ambassador Gunay Afandiyeva was appointed as its first president, following the Astana Summit's decision.

Since its founding, the Foundation has organized several key international events, conferences, exhibitions, and forums focused on preserving and promoting the culture of Turkic-speaking nations and fostering unity among them.

With an expanding network of partnerships within its member states and beyond, the Foundation has successfully signed Memorandums of Understanding with numerous international organizations and national institutions.
