An Iraqi citizen attempting to cross from Armenia into Azerbaijan has been detained, the Press Center of the State Border Service (SBS) told APA.
Measures to ensure the security and reliable protection of the state border are being successfully carried out. On September 1, signs of a border violation from Armenia toward the Republic of Azerbaijan were detected in the service area of the "Gubadli" Separate Border Division of the SBS Border Troops.
As a result of operational-military measures conducted in a mountainous and densely forested area, an Iraqi citizen, Ali Emad Attallah Badravi, born in 2002, who had crossed the state border illegally, was detained.
Operational and investigative actions regarding the incident are ongoing.
