Binali Yildirim: Armenia–Azerbaijan relations could mark new chapter for stability, co-op

Armenia-Azerbaijan relations have the potential to open a new chapter for regional stability and cooperation, Binali Yildirim, Chairman of the Council of Elders of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), Olaylar informs.

He made the remark during his speech at the event titled "Multilateralism at a Crossroads: Challenges and the Path to Peace," organized by the Nizami Ganjavi International Center as part of the 80th session of the UN General Assembly.

"This achievement not only serves national interests but also paves the way for regional integration and economic development," Yildirim noted.

He also mentioned that next year NATO will hold a meeting in Ankara to discuss its future plans: "This shows that regional players can host global discussions. Projects like the Middle Corridor and the Zangazur Corridor unite people around culture, economy, and connectivity. These initiatives link Asia to Europe through BTC, TANAP, TAP, and others."
