Representatives of Uzbek tourism sector will visit Azerbaijan-PHOTO

Turkic states have ample opportunities to jointly develop tourism, said Azamat Povlanov, an official of the "Arda Khiva" tourism complex to APA's correspondent dispatched to Khiva.

"We have one origin, one mentality. That is why when we visit each other, we feel at home. Therefore, Turkic states have ample opportunities to jointly develop tourism," the tourism expert said.

Noting that the country's tourism committee organizes trips to foreign countries to promote Uzbekistan's tourism potential, Povlanov emphasized that a delegation's visit to Azerbaijan is planned for March next year.

Note that as part of the visit of Azerbaijani media representatives to Uzbekistan, journalists today visited the modern "Arda Khiva" tourism complex located in the Khorezm region. The journalists were informed about the complex's infrastructure capabilities, the created recreation and entertainment zones, as well as its contribution to the socio-economic development of the region. It was noted that “Arda Khiva”, built on an area of ​​25 hectares, has the capacity to receive 2-3 million tourists per year and more than 20 hotels, an amphitheater, water attractions, craft workshops, and a national market operate here. During the visit, Azerbaijani journalists also got acquainted with the architectural features of the complex, the canal zone called the “Venice of the East” and the newly created ecotourism areas.

It should be noted that the visit is carried out within the framework of the “Roadmap for the Development of Cooperation in the Media Field between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Uzbekistan”. The purpose of the visit is to study the economic, social, and tourism potential of the Khiva region on the spot, as well as to introduce its cultural heritage to the Azerbaijani public more widely.
