Fenerbahce President Sadettin Saran denies drug use following report of positive hair test -UPDATED

Cocaine was detected in a hair sample belonging to Sadettin Saran, president of the “Fenerbahçe” club, Apasport.az reports.

“Due to the news circulating in the media this morning, I find it necessary to inform the public.

First of all, I want to state clearly and unequivocally that I have never used the substance that the Forensic Medicine Institute claims yielded a positive result.

These allegations are clearly a slander campaign aimed personally at me, intended to damage my reputation and dignity and to undermine the institutions I represent.

I also declare that during this process, I am ready to resubmit all samples immediately and without any hesitation.”

Note that Saran, who faced accusations of “supplying narcotic substances” and “assisting in the use of narcotic substances,” was released after giving a statement at the Prosecutor’s Office.
