Minute of silence marks anniversary of deadly AZAL plane crash in Kazakhstan -PHOTO

The memory of those who lost their lives in the crash of an Azerbaijan Airlines passenger plane in Kazakhstan on December 25, 2024, was honored, APA reports.

The memory of those who lost their lives in the accident was commemorated with a minute of silence at Heydar Aliyev International Airport on December 25 at 12:00 Baku time.

Recall that one year has passed since the Embraer 190-100 IGW passenger aircraft, registered under the state registry number 4K-AZ65 and belonging to Azerbaijan Airlines CJSC (“AZAL”), operating the regular flight J2-8243 from Baku, Azerbaijan, to Grozny, Russia, crashed near Aktau Airport in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

As a result of the crash, two crew members (the captain and the co-pilot), a senior flight attendant, and 35 passengers lost their lives.
