Ukraine’s partners and media must act immediately “to stop nuclear attackers in Moscow,” as Russia has recently intensified attacks on Ukraine’s nuclear energy system, creating a direct risk of a nuclear incident, Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha posted it on X, APA reports citing Ukrinform.
“Russia has recently intensified attacks on the Ukrainian nuclear energy system, creating a direct risk of a nuclear incident. There has been none so far – only thanks to the professionalism of Ukrainian nuclear energy professionals,” the post said.
Sybiha noted that recent Russian attacks on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure had led to a reduction in capacity at three operational Ukrainian nuclear power plants, occasionally triggering automatic safety shutdowns, reducing output, or shutting down units entirely. Each such event poses a direct threat.
