Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Defense has issued a statement regarding the rocket attack carried out against the territory of the Republic of Türkiye, press service of the Ministry of Defense stated, APA reports.
According to the statement, Azerbaijan strongly condemned the rocket attack that was neutralized over Gaziantep.
“We strongly condemn the rocket attack carried out against the territory of the Republic of Türkiye and neutralized over Gaziantep. Such actions pose a serious threat to regional peace and security and are unacceptable.
We express our full solidarity with the brotherly Republic of Türkiye. We support the efforts of the Turkish government to ensure the security of its population and territory.
Azerbaijan firmly stands by Türkiye,” the statement said.
It should be noted that a ballistic munition launched from Iran and entering Türkiye’s airspace was neutralized by NATO air and missile defense systems deployed in the Eastern Mediterranean.
