Pirated or counterfeit goods may be relinquished to the state’s benefit, APA reports.
This is reflected in a proposed amendment to the Customs Code discussed at today’s session of the Milli Majlis.
According to the draft, if a decision is made that goods transported across the customs border are considered pirated or counterfeit, those goods shall, at the person’s choice, be immediately taken back out of the customs territory, destroyed, or relinquished in favor of the state.
After discussions, the draft law was put to a vote and adopted in the first reading.
