WSJ: Iran is ready to negotiate if the US is open to discussing new proposal

Iran has informed mediators that it would be prepared to participate in talks in Pakistan early next week if Washington is willing to consider the Islamic Republic's latest proposal for a settlement, APA reports citing The Wall Street Journal (WSJ).

According to their information, in a previously submitted proposal, Tehran indicated the possibility of discussing its terms for opening the Strait of Hormuz if the US guarantees an end to attacks and the lifting of the blockade of Iranian ports. Furthermore, Iran offered to discuss issues related to its nuclear program in exchange for easing US sanctions, the publication claims.
