The Strait of Hormuz must remain open for international shipping, French President Emmanuel Macron said during his visit to Yerevan, APA reports.
The French leader noted that it is important to reduce tensions in the region and that he will contact the President of Iran for this purpose.
“I will speak with the President of Iran. We call for the cessation of all military operations and the start of negotiations,” he said.
