On May 4–5, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Elnur Mammadov paid a visit to the Republic of Ecuador, MFA told APA.
During the visit, the first political consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Human Mobility of the Republic of Ecuador were held in the capital city of Quito.
The delegations were led by Deputy Minister Elnur Mammadov from the Azerbaijani side and by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Human Mobility Alejandro Davalos from the Ecuadorian side.
At the end, the protocol of the first political consultations, as well as an agreement between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the Republic of Ecuador on the exemption of holders of diplomatic, official and service passports from visa requirements, were signed.
Within the framework of the visit, a meeting was also held with Azerbaijani businessmen operating in Ecuador.
