May 9 marks the 81st anniversary of the historic Victory over fascism, APA reports.
On this occasion, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Victorious Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva visited the grave of twice Hero of the Soviet Union, Major General of Tank Troops Hazi Aslanov.
The head of state and the First Lady laid flowers in front of Hazi Aslanov’s monument and paid tribute to the memory of all Azerbaijani sons who died in the fight for Victory in World War II.
