Pakistan conducts training launch of indigenously developed Fatah-4 missile

Pakistan’s military said on Thursday it has conducted a successful training launch of the indigenously developed Fatah-4 ground-launched cruise missile as part of efforts to enhance troop readiness and test the performance of the weapon system, APA reports.

The launch was carried out by the Army Rocket Force Command, the military’s media wing, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), said in a statement.

The Fatah series forms part of Pakistan’s indigenous missile development program intended to improve operational readiness and precision engagement capability.

“Equipped with advanced avionics and state of the art navigational aids, the weapon system is capable of engaging long range targets with high precision,” ISPR said.

“The training fire was conducted to enhance operational efficiency of the troops and validate technical parameters of various sub-systems incorporated for improved accuracy and enhanced survivability,” it added.
