The Kazakhstan-Azerbaijan fiber-optic cable project will serve as a strategic digital bridge among Turkic states, Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States Kubanychbek Omuraliev said at the informal Summit of the Heads of State of the Organization of Turkic States, APA’s correspondent dispatched to Turkistan reports.
“Digital agro-platform projects implemented by Azerbaijan also make a significant contribution to the development of innovation and technology in the region. Cooperation in the energy sector is also of strategic importance. Projects implemented in the Caspian region serve to strengthen energy security among Turkic states. The fiber-optic cable project between Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan via the Caspian Sea is an important step in terms of strengthening the digital connectivity of the Turkic world. This project will serve as a strategic digital bridge among Turkic states,” Kubanychbek Omuraliev noted.
