The current state of economic relations and prospects for the development of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Oman have been discussed, APA-Economics reports, citing the Ministry of Economy.
Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov held a meeting with Oman’s Minister of Housing and Urban Planning Khalfan Al Shuaili within the framework of the World Urban Forum (WUF13).
During the meeting, the current state of economic relations and prospects for the development of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Oman were discussed. The parties noted that the friendly relations between the two countries create a favorable basis for expanding cooperation in the economic sphere.
During the discussions, views were exchanged on diversifying business relations, promoting mutual investments, increasing trade turnover and opportunities for cooperation in the field of infrastructure. The importance of exchanging experience in the fields of urban planning, construction and sustainable urbanization was also emphasized.
Within the framework of the meeting, issues related to participation in potential investment projects, expanding contacts between private sector representatives and identifying new directions of cooperation were also in focus.
