Armenian PM, Russian President had a telephone conversation

A phone conversation took place between the Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, and the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, APA reports, citing the press service of the Armenian government.

During the conversation, Pashinyan informed Putin about the results of the talks held in Washington on August 8.

Within this framework, the discussions included the initialing of the peace and interstate relations agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan, a joint statement on the dissolution of the OSCE Minsk Group, the opening of transport and communication lines in the region, as well as the TRIPP project.

Pashinyan stated that this would create new opportunities not only for Armenia and Azerbaijan but for all countries in the region. The sides agreed to continue active contacts and political dialogue.
