About 60 seismic events occurred in Kamchatka over the past 24 hours, six of which were felt, the Kamchatka branch of the Geophysical Service of the Russian Academy of Sciences told TASS, APA reports.
"Over the past 24 hours, 58 earthquakes occurred, six of which were felt in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. City residents felt tremors of up to magnitude 4," the agency reported.
They added that seismic activity in the region remains high. The recent seismic events are aftershocks of the July 30 earthquake.
