The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has so far invested more than 210 billion euros and implemented more than 7,500 projects in 42 countries, said EBRD Director for the Caucasus Region Alkis Drakinos during his speech at the “StrategEast: Eurasian Forum on Government and IT” held in Baku, APA-Economics reports.
He said that the EBRD has invested more than 3.6 billion euros in more than 200 projects in Azerbaijan: “These investments cover the development of infrastructure, energy, industry, the banking sector, and private enterprises. Here, in Azerbaijan, we also have a representative office and a team of 16 professionals is working to achieve these results.”
