A prisoner exchange has taken place between Russia and Ukraine, the Russian Ministry of Defense stated. APA’s Moscow bureau reports.
According to the information, Russia handed over 175 Ukrainian prisoners of war to Kyiv. In return, Moscow brought back 175 of its servicemen from Ukraine.
It was reported that the exchange was carried out with the mediation of the United Arab Emirates.
During the exchange, seven Russian citizens who are residents of the Kursk region and were held by the Ukrainian side were also returned.
