On May 1, the Ambassador of the European Union to the Republic of Azerbaijan, Marijana Kujundzic, was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, MFA told APA.
During the meeting, the baseless and biased provisions against Azerbaijan included in the resolution adopted by the European Parliament on April 30 were strongly condemned, and a protest note was presented to the opposing side.
It was emphasized that the provisions in the resolution distort realities and contradict the principles of objectivity, as well as obligations to respect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of states. It was also noted that such an approach by the European Parliament negatively affects the normalization process in the region, as well as the prospects for relations between Azerbaijan and the European Union.
