Agreements between Azerbaijan and Serbia have been approved, APA reports.
President Ilham Aliyev signed the relevant decree.
According to the decree, the “Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the Republic of Serbia on the development, design, construction and operation of a gas turbine power plant in the Republic of Serbia” was approved.
Under the decree, after the agreement enters into force, the State Oil Company of the Republic of Azerbaijan must ensure the implementation of its provisions, while the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan must send a notification to the Government of Serbia regarding the completion of the domestic procedures required for the agreement’s entry into force.
In addition, the “Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the Republic of Serbia on cooperation in the field of food safety” was also approved.
According to the decree, after the agreement enters into force, the Food Safety Agency of Azerbaijan must ensure the implementation of its provisions, while the Ministry of Foreign Affairs must notify the Government of Serbia about the completion of the necessary domestic procedures for the agreement’s entry into force.
It should be noted that both agreements were signed in Belgrade on February 15, 2026.
