Azerbaijan National Day organized at Expo 2025 world exhibition in Osaka -PHOTO

The Azerbaijan National Day was held within the framework of the "Expo 2025" world exhibition in Osaka, Japan, APA reports.

At the event dedicated to the opening of the National Day, Japan’s "Expo 2025" ambassador and chief commissioner Koji Haneda and assistant to the President of Azerbaijan, Azerbaijan’s chief commissioner for "Expo 2025" Anar Alekberov made speeches.

Koji Haneda stated that Azerbaijan plays an important junction role between Asia and Europe. He said that the national pavilion created inspiring by the great Azerbaijani poet Nizami Ganjavi’s poem "Yeddi Gozel" ("Seven Beauties") presents Azerbaijani culture and the country’s development to the Japanese public at "Expo 2025."

Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan, Azerbaijan’s chief commissioner for "Expo 2025" Anar Alekberov noted that there is a long-standing history of friendship and cooperation between Azerbaijan and Japan. He said that the path of participation in Expos, which started in Hannover in 2000, continues today in Osaka, and that Azerbaijan’s pavilions at the Milan and Dubai world exhibitions have been awarded and were also among the most visited. Anar Alekberov said that Azerbaijan was the first country to sign the participation agreement for "Expo 2025" and that currently the national pavilion is among the most visited.

Afterwards, a concert program was presented with the participation of Azerbaijani art masters.

Guests visited the Japan and Azerbaijan pavilions at "Expo 2025." Our national pavilion, created by the Heydar Aliyev Center, by being located in the "Connecting Lives" section of "Expo 2025" covers the theme "Seven bridges for sustainability." The pavilion’s concept is based on the poem "Yeddi Gozel" ("Seven Beauties") by the great Azerbaijani poet and thinker Nizami Ganjavi. It showcases Azerbaijan’s rich cultural heritage, technological and sustainable development commitments, as well as openness to dialogue. The pavilion also features the "Tree of Friendship," symbolizing Azerbaijan and Japan.

The Expo, which began its activities on April 13 and will last for 184 days, is expected to attract 28 million visitors.
