Iran's highest-ranking military officer, Ali Shadmani, was killed in an airstrike by Israeli fighter jets deep inside Tehran, APA reports citing the Israeli Army.
Shadmani was the head of Iran's extraordinary military headquarters and oversaw both the IRGC and the army.
Note that Shadmani was appointed to this position four days ago.
