Foreigner who attacked police in Moscow could face death penalty

Today, the trial of a foreign citizen who attacked police officers with a knife in Moscow is being held, TASS agency reported citing the Russian Investigative Committee, APA reports.

It has been noted that he may face imprisonment from 12 to 20 years, life imprisonment, or even the death penalty.

According to the information provided, the detainee threw two bottles containing incendiary mixtures at vehicles belonging to the Ministry of Internal Affairs today. The incident occurred near a gas station on Shelyakov Highway. When police officers arrived at the scene to stop his actions, the person attacked them with a knife.

It is reported that a criminal case has been initiated on the fact of an attempt on the lives of law enforcement officers. The attacker was neutralized and detained.
