On August 27, 2025, the Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Ruslan Rzayev, presented his credentials to the President of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, APA reports, citing the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Venezuela.
During the conversation with the President of Venezuela, Ambassador R. Rzayev conveyed the greetings of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, to Nicolás Maduro. Expressing his gratitude for the greetings, the President of Venezuela, in turn, asked to convey his greetings to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Nicolás Maduro, recalling with satisfaction his visits to Azerbaijan, once again expressed his gratitude to our head of state for the sincere hospitality.
During the meeting, an exchange of views was also held on the development of bilateral relations between our countries, the continuation of successful cooperation within international organizations — especially during the period when both countries chaired the Non-Aligned Movement — as well as prospects for cooperation in the fields of economy, trade, energy, tourism, and other areas.
