The number of people killed as a result of Russia's attack on Ukraine has reached 14, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on his X account, APA reports.

"As of now, already 14 people are known to have been killed as a result of the Russian attack, including 3 children," he said.

"The Russians are not choosing to end the war, only new strikes. Overnight in Kyiv, dozens of buildings were damaged: residential houses, office centers, civilian enterprises. Among them also the building where the European Union Delegation to Ukraine is located," Ukraininan President highlighted.

Zelenskyy said that pressure on Russia must be increased.

Russia launched a large-scale aerial strike on Ukrainian cities late on Aug. 27, attacking Kyiv with missiles and targeting regions far from the front lines, APA reports citing Kyiv Independent.

At least 10 people were killed in the attack, authorities reported.

Another 48 people have been injured, and at least 30 of those victims have been hospitalized, Kyiv authorities said. Several children are among the injured.

The Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Igor Klimenko, stated that after Russia's attack on the city of Kyiv, it was possible to rescue three people alive from under the rubble.

According to Svetlana Vodolagan, spokesperson for the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, there may be 9 people under the rubble of high-rise buildings. However, it is not definitively known whether these people were in their apartments during the holiday.
