The Director General of the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO), Salim bin Mohammed AlMalik, visited educational institutions in Shusha and Khankendi as part of his visit to Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Science and Education told APA.
The Director-General, together with the Minister of Science and Education Emin Amrullayev, first got acquainted with the modern educational conditions created in Shusha city secondary school No. 1 and met with students.
Then, he visited Karabakh University and got acquainted with the newly built buildings of the university, the conditions created in the auditoriums and laboratories, as well as the dormitory facilities. During the meeting with the students, they exchanged views on the conditions supporting their educational activities at the said university and took commemorative photos. During the visit, the rector of the university, Shahin Bayramov, informed the guest about the activities of the institution.
As part of the visit, the Director General and members of the delegation he led also got acquainted with the Clinic of Karabakh University. The director of the clinic, the dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Samir Babayev, provided detailed information about the activities of the institution, the created conditions, and plans.
