Prime Ministers of Georgia and China discussed Central Corridor

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze met with Premier of the People's Republic of China Li Keqiang in Shanghai, Kobakhidze posted on his "X" account, APA's local bureau reports.

According to him, the meeting discussed issues of sustainable development of bilateral relations and deepening of strategic partnership.

According to the information released by the Georgian government, the parties emphasized the importance of cooperation within the framework of the "One Belt, One Road" initiative and the development of the Middle Corridor.

Kobakhidze said that Georgia, as an important part of the Middle Corridor, is ready to expand cooperation with China to further develop regional connectivity and trade.

It should be noted that Kobakhidze is visiting Shanghai at the invitation of his Chinese counterpart. He will attend the opening ceremony of the China International Import Expo tomorrow. Georgia participated in this year's exhibition as a guest of honor.
