Peace will enable both Armenia and Azerbaijan to significantly enhance their sovereignty, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan has said, APA reports, citing Armenpress.
“Any conflict creates fertile ground for third countries to pursue their own interests in that conflict and to strengthen their leverage over the conflicting parties,” Mirzoyan said at the Orbeli Forum 2025: Building Peace and Multilateral Cooperation conference.
The Foreign Minister added that no state is “completely independent,” as countries are interconnected through trade and other ties, which are crucial for their development.
“From a strategic standpoint, we will be able to strengthen our sovereignty. On the other hand, some may view these numerous interconnections as a lack of sovereignty, but I believe that is not the case at all,” Mirzoyan said.
