Grigoryan: Lifting transit restrictions via Azerbaijan is significant for Yerevan

The removal of transit restrictions to Armenia through Azerbaijan’s territory is a significant development for Yerevan and opens prospects for unlocking the region’s full potential, contributing to increased mutual trade, said Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia Mher Grigoryan during a meeting of the Eurasian Economic Union Intergovernmental Council held in Shymkent, Kazakhstan, TASS reports.

In his speech, the Armenian Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that the diversification of transport and logistics infrastructure in the South Caucasus would significantly boost foreign trade.

“In this context, the recent removal of transit restrictions to Armenia through Azerbaijan’s territory is a particularly noteworthy event for us, as it opens prospects for unlocking the full potential of the region and contributes to the growth of mutual trade,” Grigoryan said.
