Tbilisi sends verbal note to German Foreign Ministry

Georgia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has submitted a verbal note to Germany’s foreign policy agency, Georgian Foreign Minister Maka Bochorishvili said, APA’s local bureau reports.

According to her, the note includes a request to update information about Georgia on the official website of the German Foreign Ministry. The minister noted that the German side has not provided an appropriate response to official Tbilisi’s requests for various reasons.

“For this reason, on March 4 this year, a verbal note was again submitted to the German Foreign Ministry, once again requesting the update of information about representatives of the Georgian government posted on the ministry’s website. After the verbal note was submitted, the Georgian side was informed that the processing time for such official correspondence is four weeks. If the mentioned information is not updated within the specified period, the Georgian Foreign Ministry will send another official appeal to the German side in the coming days,” Bochorishvili added.

It should be noted that the official website of the German Foreign Ministry lists Salome Zourabichvili as President of Georgia and Ilia Darchiashvili as Foreign Minister.
