The 3rd meeting of the interparliamentary working groups on Azerbaijan–Türkiye–Northern Cyprus was held at the Milli Majlis today, APA reports.
During the joint meeting of the parliamentary working groups of Azerbaijan, Türkiye, and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, deputies exchanged views on mutual relations between the countries, the unity of the Turkic world, and the development of interparliamentary cooperation.
Head of the Türkiye–Azerbaijan interparliamentary friendship group at the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye, Shamil Ayrim, speaking at the meeting, emphasized that the Türkiye–Armenia border would be opened only if peace and long-term reconciliation between Azerbaijan and Armenia are achieved.
He noted that strengthening cooperation among Turkic states in areas such as education, energy, security, and cultural events is of great importance.
He also highlighted the support of the presidents of Azerbaijan and Türkiye, stating that interparliamentary friendship institutions are essential for strengthening this cooperation and contributing to the development of joint activities in the Turkic world.
