Zelenskyy: US may withdraw from negotiations, signaling a challenging period for Ukraine

Ukraine enters a period of heavy pressure from Russia on the front lines and from the United States in negotiations leading up to September, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy told journalists, APA reports, citing Ukrainian media.

According to the President, there is a possibility that the United States could withdraw from negotiations in August.

"If Russia chooses the path of de-escalation, I believe a trilateral meeting will take place. They will attempt to hold it in April, May, or June. I consider these to be the critical months for them. Consequently, I believe we will face a very difficult period leading up to September. This spring-summer cycle will be challenging from both a political and diplomatic standpoint. There may be pressure exerted on Ukraine, and this pressure will also manifest on the battlefield," Zelenskyy stated.
