Moldovan ambassador: It is encouraging to see so many new projects implemented in Karabakh in a short time

“This is already my sixth visit to the Karabakh region, and I experience the same feelings on each visit. They are quite mixed. First, there is a sense of sadness when you understand the tragedy that took place here; at the same time, there is a feeling of joy when you see how many new projects and how much new infrastructure have been implemented in a short period of time," Ambassador of Moldova to Azerbaijan Alexander Esaulenko said to APA’s correspondent dispatched to Karabakh.

The ambassador congratulated the people of Azerbaijan on the long-term sustainable peace in the Karabakh region.

“We congratulate the leadership of Azerbaijan on this achievement; it is also proof of the triumph of historical justice. People who once left these lands have returned and can now live, study, and enjoy the fresh air in completely comfortable and peaceful conditions.”

The diplomat also spoke about Moldova–Azerbaijan relations. The ambassador recalled that the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Moldova had recently visited Azerbaijan. He noted that Moldova attaches great importance to bilateral relations: “I hope that these relations will develop along an upward trajectory in the future. Moldova and the Republic of Azerbaijan are brotherly countries. We support each other on international platforms.”
