The tuition fees of children of deminers who were killed during demining activities will be paid from the state budget, APA reports.
This is reflected in the amendment to the Tax Code approved by President Ilham Aliyev.
According to the Code, the tuition fees of children of deminers who were killed or died as a result of injuries sustained during demining activities due to the detonation of explosive ordnance will be paid from the state budget while they receive paid education (excluding additional education) at state, municipal and private higher, secondary specialized and vocational education institutions in Azerbaijan.
Under the transitional provisions, the specified privilege is also applied to the children of deminers who were killed while carrying out demining activities or who died from injuries sustained during such activities before the law enters into force (up to a maximum age of 23), and it is applied from September 15, 2026
