Jeyhun Bayramov: Revanchist-minded individuals in Armenia cannot lead country to positive outcome

There are still people in Armenia with revanchist thinking, and this cannot lead to any positive outcome, Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov told journalists, APA reports.

“Armenia is now on the threshold of major political processes. We know that parliamentary elections will be held in Armenia in the near future. The results of these elections will determine Armenia’s future fate and its transition to the next stage of development. There is, so to speak, an intense struggle underway there, and various groups are using different tools in this direction. Unfortunately, there are still individuals within Armenia and Armenian political circles who hold revanchist views against Azerbaijan, and they openly demonstrate this during the election campaign by making accusations.

Of course, we all understand that this cannot bring any positive results for Armenia. We hope that Armenian voters will properly assess these matters and make their choices accordingly. The Azerbaijani state always closely monitors the processes. By observing the statements of various groups, we shape our policy primarily based on Azerbaijan’s national interests, ensuring that Azerbaijan remains strong, powerful, and continues to move forward as the leading state in the region. I am confident that this will be the case,” the foreign minister noted.
