"China and Azerbaijan are taking all necessary steps for the ratification of the agreement envisaging the abolition of the visa regime between the two countries," said the Chinese Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Lu Mei, at a press conference, APA reports.
She also mentioned the increase in the flow of tourists from China to Azerbaijan: "The number of Chinese tourists visiting Azerbaijan increased by 70 percent during the January-April period. This indicator was prepared in comparison with the same period last year. The document on the mutual abolition of the visa regime will further increase this figure. Currently, steps are being taken for its ratification. The Embassy plans to provide all information regarding the progress of this procedure."
