A total of 6,000 people will be resettled in Khidirli village of Aghdam, said Leyla Sarabi, head of the public relations department of the Reconstruction, Construction, and Management Service for the Aghdam, Fuzuli, and Khojavend districts, during the traditional media tour "In the Footsteps of the President," APA reports.

It was noted that Khidirli village is located northwest of Aghdam city, about 3 kilometers from the district center. President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva participated in the groundbreaking ceremony for the village in October 2022. The planned area for the village covers more than 417 hectares. The resettlement of nearly 6,000 people in two phases and the construction of 1,498 individual houses is envisioned.

“The area designated for the first phase is 170.44 hectares. In this phase, it is planned to relocate 719 families, totaling 2,951 people. As part of the first phase, 719 individual houses have been built in the village, of which 263 are two-room, 332 are three-room, 121 are four-room, and 3 are five-room houses. In addition, the village has been equipped with essential modern social infrastructure, including administrative and service buildings. These include a multifunctional administrative building, a community club center, a medical station, an emergency medical service unit, a guest house for temporary accommodation of education and healthcare workers, a public service facility, a workshop, a full secondary school, and a nursery-kindergarten. Approximately 20 percent of the village area has been allocated for green spaces.”
