Azerbaijani FM had a telephone conversation with Foreign Minister of Nepal

On August 19, 2025, a telephone conversation was held between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal, Arzu Rana Deuba, Ministry of Foreign Affairs told APA.

The Foreign Minister of Nepal conveyed his congratulations on the agreements reached between Azerbaijan and the United States at the Summit held between the leaders during the President of Azerbaijan’s visit to the United States, as well as on the achievements in the Azerbaijan-Armenia normalization process.

The ministers noted that high-level and top-level political contacts between the two countries in recent years have been commendable. The visit of the President of Nepal to Azerbaijan within the framework of COP29 was recalled with satisfaction.

The importance of the intensive development of diplomatic relations, the 30th anniversary of which we celebrate this year, the government mission to Nepal, and the political consultations organized between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs were emphasized.

During the telephone conversation, the development of bilateral and multilateral relations, the current state and prospects of cooperation in economic-trade, tourism, humanitarian, and other fields were reviewed. Cooperation between the two countries within international organizations and within the framework of the Non-Aligned Movement was positively assessed, and the importance of strengthening mutual support activities in multilateral formats was emphasized.

The telephone conversation also included an exchange of views on other issues of mutual interest.
