Resettlementconvoy arrives in Aghdam's Khidirli village, families receive keys to their houses -PHOTO

The resettlement convoy has arrived in the village of Khidirli in the Aghdam district, State Committee for Affairs of Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons told APA.

At this stage, keys to newly built individual residential houses were presented to 68 families consisting of 252 people. Representatives of the Special Representative Office of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Aghdam, Fuzuli, and Khojavend districts, as well as representatives of the State Committee for Affairs of Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons, participated in the ceremony.

It should be noted that currently, more than 50,000 people live in Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur — including former internally displaced persons who have been relocated there, those working on the implementation of various projects in the region, and employees of local branches of various state bodies, as well as those employed in the newly re-established healthcare, education, culture, tourism, industry, and energy institutions.

In accordance with the instructions of President Ilham Aliyev, the Great Return to the liberated territories continues, APA reports.

Those relocating to Khidirli village of the Aghdam district are families who had been temporarily settled in various parts of the republic, mainly in dormitories, sanatoriums, and administrative buildings.

At this stage, 68 families — 252 people in total — have been resettled in Khidirli village.

The residents returning to their native land expressed their gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev and First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva for the comprehensive state care they are receiving.

They also conveyed their appreciation to the valiant Azerbaijani Army, our heroic soldiers and officers who liberated the lands from occupation, and offered prayers for mercy to our martyrs who sacrificed their lives on this path.

It should be noted that currently, in Karabakh and Eastern Zangazur, along with the former internally displaced persons being resettled, more than 50,000 people live in the region. These include those engaged in the implementation of various projects, employees of local branches of state institutions, as well as staff working in newly restored healthcare, education, culture, tourism, industry, and energy facilities.
