U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance has said that there will be no American troops on Ukrainian territory under security guarantees.
He made the remarks in an interview on NBC News' Meet the Press, APA reports.
"The President [Donald Trump] is very clear. There are not going to be [U.S.] boots on the ground in Ukraine, but we are going to continue to play an active role in trying to ensure that the Ukrainians have the security and the confidence they need to stop the war on their end, and the Russians feel like they can bring the war to a conclusion on their end," Vance said.
He noted that the United States is "not talking about security guarantees until after the war has come to a close."
