Waste management will be improved in the liberated territories, APA reports.
President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev signed a decree in this regard.
It was determined that the collection and transportation of solid household waste, as well as other safe solid waste generated in the liberated territories, will be carried out by the following public legal entities:
- Shusha City and Shusha District - Shusha City State Reserve Administration;
- Jabrayil, Gubadli and Zangilan Districts - Restoration, Construction and Management Service in Jabrayil, Gubadli and Zangilan Districts;
- Aghdam, Fuzuli and Khojavand Districts - Restoration, Construction and Management Service in Aghdam, Fuzuli and Khojavand Districts;
- Lachin District - Restoration, Construction and Management Service in Lachin District;
- Khankendi City, Aghdere and Khojaly Districts - Restoration, Construction and Management Service in Khankendi City, Aghdere and Khojaly Districts;
- For the Kalbajar region – Rehabilitation, Construction and Management Service in the Kalbajar region.
All property of the “Tamiz shahar” Open Joint-Stock Company related to the collection and transportation of solid household waste generated in the liberated territories, as well as other safe solid waste, will be transferred to the balance of the relevant public legal entities.
This Decree will come into effect on January 1, 2026.
