Assistant to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan – Head of the Department of Foreign Policy Affairs of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Azerbaijan Hikmet Hajiyev met in the United States with Senator Steve Daines and Chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, Congressman Brian Mast, APA reports, citing the Embassy of Azerbaijan in the United States.
According to the statement, the parties emphasized the strategic significance of the summit held in Washington on August 8 between President Ilham Aliyev and U.S. President Donald Trump, and its positive outcomes for Azerbaijan–U.S. relations, as well as for regional peace.
Hikmet Hajiyev highlighted the importance of repealing the Section 907 amendment and extended an invitation for a visit to Azerbaijan.
