The State Border Service of Azerbaijan has detained individuals who attempted to cross the state border illegally, citing the Press Center of the Service.
According to the information, measures to ensure reliable protection of the state border and combat illegal migration are being successfully continued.
Signs of an illegal border crossing from the Islamic Republic of Iran into the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan were detected in the service area of the “Lankaran” Border Detachment of the Border Troops.
As a result of the operational and military measures carried out, two citizens of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan – Enamullah Abdulqafar Ahmadi (born in 2001) and Javid Mohammadazim Taimani (born in 2002) – were detained for violating the state border.
Operational-investigative measures on the case are ongoing.
