Since August 8, Armenia and Azerbaijan have been making targeted efforts to consolidate the progress achieved so far and to deepen dialogue, Armenian National Security Council Secretary Armen Grigoryan said at a conference in Brussels, APA reports citing news.am.
“For example, on October 21–22, for the first time, a delegation consisting of representatives of Azerbaijani civil society visited Armenia to participate in a bilateral roundtable discussion. In the near future, representatives of Armenian civil society are also expected to visit Azerbaijan. Before the involvement of civil society representatives, the head of Armenia’s National Security Service visited Baku to attend an international security forum. Such visits and exchanges will contribute to strengthening mutual trust and understanding between the two societies, as well as to consolidating peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan,” he said.
