Papuashvili: Georgia will continue preparing for EU membership

The political part of the section on Georgia in the EU enlargement report is very aggressive and unfair, said the Speaker of the Georgian Parliament Shalva Papuashvili at a briefing, APA's local bureau reports.

According to him, the document contains outdated political accusations, lies and hostile rhetoric regarding Georgia.

"This is a view of Georgia from the Brussels office and has nothing to do with real Georgia," the speaker said.

Papuashvili said that blackmail and pressure against Georgia will not yield any results:

"We will not give up. Georgia will prepare for membership in the European Union, the goal of which will be the restoration of European values."

The speaker noted that Brussels is openly moving away from European values, avoiding dialogue and preferring an arrogant tone.
