Reprogramming prosperity as Azerbaijan leaps toward knowledge economy [ANALYSIS]

Globally, governments and businesses recognize AI as a key driver of economic growth. According to a report by the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre, the EU’s annual AI investments were projected to reach about €22.4 billion by 2025 if current growth trends continued. However, the EU’s new ‘InvestAI’ initiative now aims to mobilise up to €200 billion for AI investment across Europe. In Azerbaijan, the government has responded with the Artificial Intelligence Strategy for 2025-2028, approved by President Aliyev. This strategy aims to accelerate the country’s AI development, strengthen digital infrastructure, and integrate Azerbaijan into the global AI ecosystem.
