In 2026, 77 million manats are projected to be allocated from the Unemployment Insurance Fund to support self-employment among the population, the Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Labor and Social Policy, Musa Guliyev said during the joint meeting of the Parliamentary Committees on Labor and Social Policy and Economic Policy, Industry and Entrepreneurship, held to discuss the “2026 State Budget Package of the Republic of Azerbaijan,” APA reports.
He noted that in 2026, 8,000 people are expected to join the self-employment program through the fund’s resources.
Additionally, under an agreement signed with the World Bank, another 7,000 people will be involved in self-employment programs.
