Shoigu meets Armenian Security Council Secretary to discuss Caucasus situation

Sergey Shoigu, Secretary of the Russian Security Council, met with Armen Grigoryan, Secretary of the Armenian Security Council, APA reports, citing TASS.

Shoigu emphasized that the situation in the Caucasus requires constant attention: “It is important for us to synchronize our watches. Recent events and various developments in the region—throughout the Caucasus, especially the South Caucasus—demand our continuous attention and consultations.”

Grigoryan stated he was ready to share details regarding the regional situation and expressed gratitude for the opportunity to meet.

The Shoigu-Grigoryan talks took place in Moscow today within the framework of the meeting of the Secretaries of the CIS Security Councils. Shoigu is also expected to meet with his Azerbaijani counterpart, Ramil Usubov.
